Maui Hawaiians

Ernest G. Paschoal was born in Wailuku, Maui, on May 2, 1912, and he passed away at the age of 72, in August of 1984.
Ernest was the founder and President of Paschoals’s Gray Line Motor Tours, a Maui tour operator that thrived during the 1950s.
Ernest realized that several of his singing drivers were talented musicians & singers, so he formed a group named, “Paschoal’s Gray Line Troubadours”.
After performing together on Maui for 7 years, Tradewinds Records recorded the combo as “The Maui Hawaiians”.
Today, we’ll hear that memorable Maui Hawaiians recording, courtesy of the Territorial Airwaves archives.
